Current services
Chesterfield
Until 25 October 2021 a regular bus service will connect Chesterfield station with Peak District National Park tourism destinations such as Bakewell and Baslow.
The service departs direct from Chesterfield rail station forecourt providing links to scenic Bakewell, and Baslow Nether End, the gateway to historic Chatsworth House estate.
The hourly bus service will also offer the opportunity to connect at Bakewell for services onto Castleton, for Mam Tor, and the market town of Matlock. This gives the option of a circular day out, returning by the scenic Derwent Valley line from Matlock to Derby with East Midlands Railway.
Every two hours (Monday to Saturday) the service additionally extends into historic Buxton, for shopping and other attractions at the Western edge of the picturesque Peak District, the UK’s oldest National Park.

Alton Towers Resort
Travelling to Alton Towers for a thrilling day out? Why not take the train and make a simple bus connection from these stations:
Stockport: until 30 August 2021 High Peak Buses will operate a Sunday bus service between Stockport and Alton Towers Resort. You can get service 199 from Stockport Bus Station, adjacent to the railway station.
Stafford: D&G Bus operate the X41 Route which runs between Stafford - Uttoxeter - Alton Towers Resort.
