Whether you are having a meal with the family, meeting up with your friends or going on an Easter egg hunt with the kids, Easter can be a very busy period for us all. The information below is all you need to ensure you travel with ease on our trains over the Easter period.
Secure your seat in advance
To ensure you have a reserved seat and are able to relax on your journey, book your tickets in advance via our website or Train Tickets app. We could even save you up to 60%* with CrossCountry Advance tickets.

Coventry
|
Trains will not call at Coventry and Birmingham International. Journey times will remain unaffected. Rail replacement road transport will operate between Leamington Spa, Coventry and Birmingham International. |

Motherwell
|
Trains will not call at Motherwell. Rail replacement road transport will operate between Motherwell and Edinburgh Waverley. |
London Euston closed Friday 15 - Monday 18 April
Major track improvement upgrades over the Easter weekend will mean London Euston is closed to train services. Customers travelling to or from London between 15-18 April will have longer journeys and trains will be busier than usual. Please travel either side of these dates.
Saturday 16 April
Football supporters in Liverpool and Manchester traveling to Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final are advised not to travel by train and instead follow the FA’s advice on how to get to Wembley on Saturday 16 April.

Be flexible with your travel on a quieter train

If you are flexible with your travel arrangements, please use this information to select quieter services. If you are more restricted, please ensure you book in advance to reserve your seat.

Journey care
If you need extra assistance to help you with your journey, we offer our Passenger Assist service.
You can pre-book this service online when you buy your tickets on our website or you can call us on 0344 811 0125 (text phone users can call 0344 811 0126). So that we can arrange everything for you, please give us at least 2 hours notice before you travel.
Only bring luggage you can comfortably carry
We have a limited amount of space on our trains to store luggage, so please be considerate of other passengers and only bring what you can comfortably carry. Soft bags and small cases are easier to store.
On our trains we have storage available:
- Under the seat in front of you
- Above every seat in the overhead racks
- At the end of each coach for large luggage items
