The following major engineering work will take place on the CrossCountry network. The majority of engineering work takes place at weekends and Bank Holidays, details of which can be found in the Travel Updates section, however, there are projects which will impact the train service on weekdays. These are detailed below.

Network Rail will be carrying out track improvement work in the Newcastle area. The work will start on Saturday 1 and run through to Sunday 9 October.
