The new accommodation for our 500 people at Birmingham was completed as part of Network Rail's Gateway project to transform the station. The move was achieved over a single weekend and has already proved popular amongst those based there.
The state of the art accommodation was completed in just over 12 months and is split over three floors, with floor-to-ceiling windows and views over the station. The building has an eco-friendly roof incorporating 14 different species of low-maintenance plants and grass as well as solar panels.
The name was chosen as the building is situated on the site of an old railway gas lamp supply store.
