What is PlusBus?
It's a discount priced ticket for unlimited bus travel around town (like a "bus pass") that you buy with your train ticket. Bus travel can be at the start, the finish, or both ends of your train journey. So you pay for your complete train and bus journey in one easy transaction online. It's a great-value way to make your entire journey by public transport and reduce your carbon foot-print!

How does it work?
For each town there is one zone that covers the whole urban area (your train journey must start or finish outside this bus travel zone). With your PlusBus ticket you can travel as much as you like on all participating bus services anywhere within the zone.
Great value
PlusBus ticket prices start from £2.00, with most priced around £2.50 to £3.50 a day, depending on the town or city. Save one-third off the PlusBus day ticket price with your Railcard (usual Railcard peak period restrictions apply). Children (aged 5-15) pay half the adult PlusBus day ticket price.
Easy to buy
Ask for PlusBus when buying your train ticket. You can buy a PlusBus ticket:
- online from this website
- at all railway station ticket offices
- at self-service ticket machines (at selected stations)
- booking via our telesales team
PlusBus can be added to most types of train tickets and offers you unlimited journeys on participating bus services in that location.
Please note, you cannot currently purchase PlusBus season add-ons online or by telephone. To add a PlusBus add-on to you season ticket, you can visit any railway station ticket office.
PlusBus can save you money and is more convenient than buying separate tickets. What's more you can pay with cash, credit or debit card.
