So that we can offer all users of our WiFi system a fair service, we have in place a Fair Usage Policy.
Access to some sites would use up higher amounts of available bandwidth, so we restrict access to prevent this.
You cannot use the service for the following;
- Watching catch up TV (e.g. BBC iPlayer, Netflix, NowTV etc.)
- Uploading or downloading very large files
- File sharing (e.g. BitTorrent)
- Video sharing sites or calls (e.g. YouTube, FaceTime etc.)
In addition to those sites which are restricted, we reserve the right to restrict a user’s connection speed, if the level of use is deemed by us as excessive and therefore to be detrimental to other users. While the vast majority of users will use far less, we determine that any usage of this service over 70MB in standard and 100MB in First Class across a two hour period is classed as excessive and subject to restriction. Access to the on-board WiFi will be reduced if a user reaches the maximum usage.
